Today’s inspiration is metallic nails! No matter how you style it, it’s always spot on. You can use nail wraps, the good old nail polish, metallic french tips or another design. Whatever method you prefer, there’s always a way to accomplish this look. Be inspired!
Nail wraps are available in (online) shops such as ASOS and RebelNailsInc. Some drugstores sell them too. They have the prettiest result, don’t cost much and usually last around a week. A nice refreshment to everyone’s usual french manicure or nail polish-routine! Beside the obvious silver and gold (I can’t decide which look best), they also exist in other colors and various patterns. I think I’ll post a tutorial on how to apply nail wraps in the near future!
My favorite nail polishes definitely are the Essie Mirror Metallics Collection. They come closest to the result I desire from a so-called metallic look (using nail polish, that is). A lot of those nail polishes unfortunately turn out shimmery instead of metallic (such as the metallic series from Color Club and Maybelline). Lucky for us, Essie understood what we ladies want out of a metallic nail polish.
The Essie Mirror Metallics Collection has 5 colors: Good as Gold, No Place like Chrome (silver), Penny Talk (copper), Blue Rhapsody (a silvery blue) and Nothing Else Metals (a soft lavender), as displayed on the image above. As you can see, the colors are pretty close to the real deal. For the best result I advice you use a ridge filling base coat + a top coat, that way you get the smoothest and prettiest outcome. If you don’t own a ridge filler and want to buy one, get one from OPI. They are the best!
The great thing about doing your nails or getting your nails done is that you can do so much. The possibilities are endless. Personally, I prefer the silver/gold nail wraps because it looks beautiful and fits perfectly with almost all your accessories. It’s certainly something people will remember! Celebs as Rihanna and Béyonce are rocking this look right now. Will you?
