I wasn’t planning on doing a review of this product so soon but I’m amazed of this eye cream. I have used it a total of seven times (every morning and evening) since I bought it a couple of days ago and I can already see results. Let me tell you about the Body Shop’s Vitamin E Eye cream!
I have a really dry skin and a little puffiness underneath my eyes. When I haven’t slept much for a couple of days I also have medium dark circles. This product promises to “hydrate skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and puffiness and leave the skin feeling soft and smooth”. Still I wasn’t sure so I asked the salesgirl about it. The very friendly salesgirl said she had used this product for the past months herself. She had, like me, a really dry skin. Now she can’t live without it. I looked at the sales rep and decided she seemed genuine so I decided to give it a try!
It comes in a small, pale pink 15 ml tube with a nozzle, perfect to get the right amount of eye cream out of it. Although 15 ml doesn’t sound as much, I believe it will last quite some time. With the amount you see on my finger on the picture hereafter you can easily do the whole area underneath one eye! The cream is not too watery, oily or greasy. It has a medium consistency which is just perfect. It smells like a typical lotion.
When you apply it on the skin underneath your eyes and spread it out, you immediately feel the refreshment. That’s a nice feeling, especially in the morning. Your skin absorbs the eye cream instantly and it does feel soft and smooth. It hydrates big time which is a huge plus for my really dry skin. You don’t even notice you had a dry skin before. But, does it last? I’m skeptical at first but even after half a day my skin still feels perfectly hydrated and soft. Say whaaat? Yes, I mean it. The next day I try it underneath my make-up but even then I get the same result as the day before: my skins stays smooth and hydrated. Because of it’s lightness I haven’t got any problems applying my make-up on top of it, it still looks natural. Love it! I’ve tried other eye creams before but they haven’t last this long or hydrated my skin as deeply as this one does. One or two eye creams even irritated my skin but this one does not.
As far as the reduce of dark circles and puffiness goes, I think I see a small change too. Nothing life changing but it already helps a little! It seems to reduce the appearance of fine lines (as far as I have those) but I’m not sure it helps to reduce the fine lines themselves. I believe that after I’ve used this eye cream consistently for a few weeks I’ll see some very noticeable change. I’m very optimistic about this eye cream! If not, I still have an amazing moisturizer. Either way, I’ll keep you updated.
The Body Shop’s best-selling eye cream costs $18 per tube. It’s the dream product for everyone who has a very dry skin area around their eyes! In comparison with other eye creams, this one is pretty cheap yet you get results. If you aren’t using an eye cream yet, I have two things to say: prevention is better than curing + this is a perfect cream for first-time eye cream users. I hope this review was useful! If you have any questions or if you want to share your opinion, please comment. I really appreciate every single one of them.
