After jumping out of the shower in the morning, I religiously use the same make-up products, day after day. Over the past 5 years, I think I got a pretty good idea of what works for me and what’s the best for my type of skin. So truth to be told, my everyday look pretty much stays the same the whole year round. Here’s what my routine looks like!
▲ Moisturizer – La Rouche-Posay Effaclar H multi-compensating soothing moisturizer (paraben-free, for sensitive skin)
To start off, I use a moisturizer to take care of my somewhat dry-normal skin. This is the first moisturizer that helped me completely get rid of my acne. It’s paraben-free and intended for girls with sensitive, acne-prone skin. This is my holy grail moisturizer and my number one recommendation for babes who want to keep acne at bay! Big, big fan of this.
▲ Foundation – Maybelline’s Superstay Better Skin flawless finish foundation (SPF20) + Beautyblender
After applying my moisturizer, it’s time to put on this light-weight foundation with SPF (muy importante, if you want to protect your skin) with a slightly wet beauty blender. I use an original Beautyblender or Claire’s dupe.
▲ Blush – NARS blush in Orgasm
NARS blushes are absolutely amazing. So amazing that, in fact, I still have to encounter a NARS blush that I don’t like. My favorite summer shade is Orgasm. It’s a peach blush with tiny, gold glitters in it. Deep throat is a favorite too. And I swear on Louboutins that I didn’t make up the slightly NSFW-names.
▲ Brows – Catrice eyebrow set
Next I use Catrice’s eyebrow kit to fill in my brows. It’s actually nothing special, it just does the trick! I’m not too critical when it comes to something so simple as an eyebrow set so I always go for the one my wallet likes best. If you know what I mean.
▲ Eyes – Maybelline the Rocket Volum’ Express in black
To finish, I use the Maybelline Rocket Volum’ mascara to give my eyelashes some volume and that extra lift and color. I honestly believe that mascara is like 50% magic, by the way. I always feel like a panda without its black spots before applying but fabulous ten seconds later. Coincidence? I think not. I’ve used this mascara on and off for years and I have to say it’s pretty good. I like the effect.
Aaand I’m ready to hit the town. Or school. Or work. Or pretty much everywhere!
What about you? Are you like me and do you religiously use the same products for your everyday look or do you like to switch it up sometimes?
