A week or two before leaving on my backpacking adventure (more on that soon), I found myself digging in my closet for a warm hoodie, only to find out I actually didn’t own a single one. 27 dresses? Check. A hoodie? Uhm, no. I browsed the internet far and wide and rediscovered the Superdry sweaters and I fell in love with one in particular…
I returned from the Antwerp store with this beautiful ombre piece – it goes from a pretty light grey to pink. I really liked the more feminine colors as I do not feel very feminine wearing a hoodie. But it’s warmsies; practical; soft; and so much more. I love it.
Of course, right after I bought it, I mentioned it to some of my friends and colleagues. The responses were, well, not quite what I expected. More than just a few told me about how horrible their Superdry sweater looked after only one washing. And every single time someone told me that I mentally face-palmed myself. I was so excited finding this pretty hoodie that I totally forget to research, to check the quality, something I normally do when I spend more than just a handful of euros into something.

Two washings later I’m relieved to tell you the fabric is fine. The letters are fine. The colors are fine. It didn’t shrunk. All was well.
(A virtual high-five for you if you understand the reference.) I’m 99.99% sure I’m never ever spending this much money on a hoodie again, no matter how pretty, but I have to say that I’m very satisfied with my Superdry sweater!
(Fun fact – it was 40° Celsius the whole week through and I only wore my sweater once, at night. Bad Luck Bryan, much?)
